I have recently moved rooms and changed the colour scheme, as I was beginning to grow out of my pink 'Hannah Montanna' wallpaper. So I decided to go for a sophisticated black, grey, copper and white theme. All my furniture is white (Ikea) and I have added black, grey and copper accessories.
So here is a virtual tour of my room, enjoy!
Firstly, on my desk I have a minimalistic lamp and some cacti plants (Ikea), a copper lantern (New look) which I love as it brightens up the area and a Root candle (Japanese cedar wood). On the other side I have a picture frame which I spray painted black, my black polaroid which I received for Christmas, a vase of fake flowers (Ikea) and a rose gold buddha which I recently purchased at Primark for just £4!
I could never find the perfect wardrobe for my room to keep my clothes in, so I decided to put them on a simple white metal rail because its easier for me to pick out my outfits. Plus, I think it fits in with the theme of my room nicely.
On my chest of draws I keep my makeup collection and my magnified mirror by Revlon (post coming soon about my makeup). The clear drawers and brush pots (Muji) are one of my favourite pieces of storage, I particularly like how you can stack the drawers to suit the amount of makeup you have. Plus they were a bargain! To the left of the mirror is a white dish (Ikea) which I keep some of my everyday beauty products on.
My bed and cover are from Ikea and I'm obsessed with how well they looked in my room. I wrapped some fairy lights around the frame to make the bed stand out more at night. Plus it makes my room much more cosy as its Winter. I also added two bold black and white patterned cushions (Ikea) that tie in the whole look.
My bedside table has to be my favourite thing in my room. I have two fake plants (Ikea), a black lamp as well as a quirky dish (Urban outfitters) which is perfect to store jewellery and any other bits and pieces that I loose easily. I also have a gold photo frame (New look) where I have put my favourite polaroids and below I have 'It' by Alexa Chung and a black photo album.
Overall im really happy how my room has turned out, and I hope to post more about it in the future.
Thank you for reading!
